Cristin J. Lewis, MA, LPC-S,
Owner of Tree of Life Counseling Center
"We all have faced difficulties at one time or another. Challenging situations can be a great opportunity for positive change and self-awareness. As a counselor, I strive to offer empathy, compassion and a safe environment to each of my clients as they are working through their pain and walk beside them on their journey towards healing."
Cristin is especially passionate about working with individuals struggling in areas related to grief and trauma, and she also works with clients who are dealing with issues such as anger, anxiety, conflict resolution, depression, parenting, stress management and life circumstances. Cristin is trained and certified in EMDR therapy, a form of trauma therapy, and is a member of EMDRIA. She is also a grief counselor.

One of Cristin's greatest joys is spending time with family. She and her husband, Jonathan, have five adult children (and three grandbabies). Cristin also loves to spend her time being outdoors, hiking and enjoying God's creation.

Cristin is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in the state of Texas. Cristin received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Tarleton State University and her Master of Arts in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. Cristin is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA).

Alyssa Navarro, MA, LPC

Alyssa enjoys working with adolescents, young adults, adults, couples and families. She has gained experience from ministry work in her church, The Avenue, as a small group leader at youth camps, lead bible study for the college group, and was a junior high leader at The Landing. Alyssa is certified in Prepare/Enrich Premarital Counseling, and has completed Level 1 and Level II Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

She enjoys spending time with her family. From camping outdoors to watching the latest movie, or simply relaxing at home, Alyssa enjoys the simple things in life with her family.
Alyssa received her dual Master’s Degree in Counseling and Christian Education from Dallas Baptist University and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from East Texas Baptist University.

Brenna Walsted, MA, LPC-Associate

Seeking help is vulnerable, and Brenna hopes to provide a comfortable, safe space for you to process, learn about yourself, and grow throughout your time in counseling and beyond.
Brenna enjoys working with teens 15+ and adults who are experiencing self-esteem issues, depression, anxiety, life adjustment, shame, and relational issues. She is passionate about serving teens and young adults, recognizing that this time in their lives holds many changes, challenges, and new experiences which may show a need for additional support. Brenna hopes to walk alongside all her clients as they navigate through life’s difficulties with compassion and encouragement.
When not counseling, Brenna spends her time with her husband, family and friends, playing board games, serving in her church, trying new recipes, and playing with her two dogs – Buddy & Scout.
Brenna received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Texas – San Antonio and her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University.​

Erin Solomon, M.MFT, MFT-Associate

Erin hopes to meet you where you're at in your life journey. Asking for help or wanting to change can be an incredibly powerful step. It is her goal to walk alongside you and provide a safe space for growing and healing.
Erin enjoys working with couples, families, and individuals who are 12+. It can be difficult to deal with life transitions at any age or stage. Erin has experience in areas related to Depression, Anxiety, Premarital, Parenting, and Relationship Challenges.
When not in the therapy room, Erin enjoys spending time with her senior dog, Suzie, interacting with her community, and crafting.
Erin has a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences Education from Harding University and a Master's Degree from Abilene Cristian University's Marriage and Family Therapy Program.

Elodia Garcia, DBU Professional Counseling Student

Elodia Citlaly Garcia is a bilingual English/Spanish Professional Counseling Student passionate about working with children, adolescents, and adults who are struggling with emotional and behavioral issues and overwhelmed by life circumstances that exhaust one’s inner resources and interfere with daily functioning. Elodia strives to provide a safe and trustworthy therapeutic relationship and explore the clients’ personal choices, thoughts, and feelings associated with self-beliefs to guide the client in reaching self-awareness, healing, and personal growth through measurable treatment goals where the client will always be the center and interest of the therapeutic session.

Elodia received a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Psychology from Dallas Baptist University, and a Certificate of Biblical Studies from Christ for the Nations Institute. Her professional background extends from mentoring new moms to working as a Qualified Mental Health Professional in case management and skills training, and most recently, middle school education. Elodia is currently a graduate student in the Master of Arts in Professional Counseling program at Dallas Baptist University, graduating in December of 2024.

Elodia and her husband Emanuel have four beautiful children between the ages of 4 and 17; her family is very close-knit and fun; there is never a dull moment! Elodia’s family is her joy and the motor for life. She enjoys practicing self-care on her days off, which begins with a good book and worship music session! She loves to cook and try new recipes.

Elodia believes that individuals from all walks of life have the capacity for change and growth in therapy through learning and education because there is always room for more knowledge and wisdom.

We all go through life and experience unexpected circumstances. Nobody is prepared for everything that comes our way. As a counselor, my hope is to walk alongside you through your journey of healing with empathy, compassion, and awareness. Walking through hard times and facing what’s in front of you is brave, and I hope to be there as a counselor and fellow human being to provide a safe place to help you get to the other side of the suffering you are experiencing.

Katie is especially passionate about working with individuals who have experienced grief and trauma, as well as anxiety, depression, identity issues, stress-related issues, and other mental health concerns. Much of her knowledge and understanding has come through her own personal life experiences and hardships.
​
She is currently a graduate student in the Masters of Arts in Counseling program at Dallas Theological Seminary, graduating in May of 2025. Her professional background includes being certified in Prepare/Enrich Marriage counseling as well as Relate Strong Couples therapy. She has also gained experience in working with people through an online platform as well as in person.
​
When not wearing a counselor’s hat, Katie’s greatest joy is in spending time with her high school sweetheart and husband of 20 years, Alex, and their 4 children; 2 girls ages 14 and 18, and 2 boys ages 4 and 11. In her spare time Katie enjoys reading, being outdoors, cooking with her husband, listening to music, and writing. She also enjoys spending time with her pets; 2 gentle but giant dogs, Holly and Meadow, and 2 snuggly kitties named Willow and Bella.
